About The Course
This self-help course is designed to help you to lower your anxiety over 8 weeks. Each week you will watch videos delivered by Miranda that will be like having an hour of positive focus and relaxation in your own home. There is no formal homework or studying but you will be practicing new ways of thinking as well as learning how to be more relaxed in all situations.
Miranda asks you to focus on how you would like things to be. Often we think about how bad everything is and this creates yet more stress and anxiety. Thinking in new ways takes some effort to begin with so that is the homework. However as it is all leading to you feeling much more like yourself again, it is pleasurable.
You will learn:
- how your mind creates anxiety
- the mechanisms you already have to diffuse anxiety
- the importance of sleep in reducing anxiety
- what hypnosis is and what it isn’t
- how to change your state of mind quickly
- how panic attacks occur and how to deal with them
- about your nervous system
- how serotonin helps and how you create it
- how anti-depressants work
- how focusing on the problem makes the problem worse

During the 8 weeks, as long as you follow the instructions, you will:

- start to feel so much more in control of yourself, your choices and your life
- realise that if you focus your attention away from the problem, the problem often goes away
This is a self-help course, designed to run alongside whatever else you are doing in life. Miranda is a highly trained and experienced hypnotherapist and psychotherapist and so offers this course to enlighten and help, not to offer actual therapy. Hypnosis is a daydreaming trance state that we enter into many times a day and come out of naturally. Together with Solution Focused thinking, this course is safe and positive and will have a beneficial effect on your overall wellbeing.

- have a diagnosis of schizophrenia
- hear voices
